Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Joe's Kids. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a critical role in evaluating and treating young clients with speech and language disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluation and Treatment Planning

Evaluate young clients to identify speech and language disorders and develop comprehensive treatment plans to address these issues.

Treatment Implementation and Progress Monitoring

Implement and revise treatment plans to address a range of speech and language disorders, including stuttering, delayed language, articulation disorders, receptive-expressive language disorders, swallowing disorders, and cognitive linguistic disorders.

Documentation and Record Keeping

Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of client evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.

Family and Caregiver Education

Educate families and caregivers on strategies to support client progress and promote follow-through with home exercise programs.

Collaboration and Teamwork

Collaborate with the therapy team to ensure comprehensive care and attend team meetings to discuss client progress and treatment plans.

Supervision and Training

Supervise student fieldwork experiences and provide guidance on clinical skills and best practices.

Facility Maintenance and Compliance

Assist with routine cleaning and maintenance of the clinic's physical plant, patient care equipment, and supplies, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and facility policies.

Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
  • Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Experience working with young clients with speech and language disorders
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
