POSITION OVERVIEW
This internship is tailored for college students entering their Junior or Senior year in accounting. The selected intern will possess a solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and will engage in daily bookkeeping activities for BGCMT. This role requires a commitment of approximately 25 hours per week.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct daily bookkeeping functions for BGCMT.
- Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and month-end closing processes.
- Collaborate on state and federal grants, including monthly expenditure reporting and reimbursement preparation.
- Assist with payroll processing.
- Exhibit integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality consistently.
- Contribute to a cooperative work environment by assisting colleagues as needed.
- Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles is essential.
- Currently pursuing or completed a degree in finance, accounting, or business administration at a Junior or Senior level is required.
- Strong organizational, communication, and attention to detail skills.
- Flexibility in work hours is necessary.
- Familiarity with QuickBooks, Tallie, and credit card payment systems is advantageous.
