Position Overview: The Financial Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting the finance team with a range of accounting functions. This position presents a valuable opportunity for professional growth and advancement within a vibrant and fast-paced manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the upkeep of the general ledger by recording journal entries and reconciling accounts.
- Prepare and execute daily financial transactions, encompassing accounts payable and receivable.
- Complete month-end and year-end closing activities with minimal supervision.
- Generate financial reports and aid in the preparation of financial statements.
- Conduct variance analysis and support budget formulation.
- Review and process invoices, ensuring accurate coding and authorization.
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on overdue accounts.
- Reconcile vendor statements and address discrepancies.
- Assist in maintaining precise inventory records and conducting periodic physical inventory counts.
- Support cost accounting functions, including tracking production costs and analyzing variances.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures, as well as accounting standards and regulations.
- Maintain organized and current financial records and documentation.
- Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation and support.
- Engage in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Perform other accounting-related tasks as assigned by the finance manager.
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. (Candidates without a degree but with substantial work experience will also be considered)
- 1-2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing context.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar) is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication abilities and capacity to work collaboratively in a team environment.
