Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Family Medicine Physician to join our team at Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health. As a Direct Primary Care Physician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care to a small panel of patients in a high-touch, subscription-based practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Consult with patients to determine the appropriate course of treatment.
  • Recommend and order tests to determine the extent of illness or help diagnose conditions.
  • Monitor lab results, medication adherence, and medication toxicities.
  • Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccinations, and other medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury.
  • Explain and discuss procedures, test results, or prescribed treatment with patients.
  • Coordinate work with nurses, social workers, rehabilitation therapists, pharmacists, psychologists, and other healthcare providers.
  • Refer patients to medical specialists when necessary.
Requirements
  • Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Certification by the American Board of Family Medicine or Board.
  • Current medical licensure issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Medicine or the Pennsylvania State Board of Osteopathic Medicine.
  • Successful completion of a Family Medicine Residency program.
  • At least three years of prior experience in clinical medicine as a Family Physician.
  • A healthcare provider in good standing with Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal and state health insurance programs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least three years of clinical patient care experience as a specialist in Family Medicine.
