About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team at The Shyft Group. As an Assembly Technician, you will play a critical role in the production of high-quality truck bodies, working closely with our team to ensure that every vehicle meets our exceptional standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and install truck bodies, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
  • Support the production and assembly of various components, working collaboratively with the team
  • Perform as an active member of the team, rotating to other workstations as needed
  • Meet quality, quantity, performance, and safety standards, obtaining supplies and parts required to do the job
  • Assist other employees when assembly work is not required, maintaining a clean and organized work environment
  • Participate in 5S advancements and assist in the implementation of Lean Principles
Requirements
  • Previous manufacturing experience in an Automotive, RV, or Boat manufacturer preferred
  • Ability to use ladders, enter and exit trucks, reaching, bending, twisting, squatting, working below knees or above shoulders, and lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to use air and electric powered tools, such as drills, hammer drills, torque wrenches, air tools, and huck guns
  • Ability to read and understand work orders, directions, charts, forms, and safety regulations
