About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team at Metso Outotec. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for the assembly of pumps and other components produced at our facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble pumps and components in compliance with customer and order requirements.
  • Consult with Production Manager or Assembly Lead to resolve any production issues discovered during assembly.
  • Ensure all work is performed to the highest level of quality and safety.
  • Test, tag, pack, crate, and load product as required by the order and company procedure.
  • Assist with other production warehouse functions as directed by production manager.
  • Perform other miscellaneous duties and/or special projects as required.

Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent required.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
  • Knowledge and ability to operate overhead and jib cranes safely.
  • Valid state-issued driver's license for company forklift operation.
  • High mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Ability to stoop, sit, bend, walk, climb, and lift (normal 20 lbs./shop max. 50 lbs.).
  • Ability to work extended hours.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
