Position Overview:
The Senior Statistical Analyst is tasked with spearheading and executing pivotal analyses and statistical modeling that will produce measurable outcomes.

This position necessitates collaboration across various departments and provides the chance to apply innovative thinking to address challenges in credit risk, marketing, and operational efficiency.


Compensation:
$175-$200k
Key Responsibilities:
  • Leverage advanced mathematical, statistical, and analytical skills to research, gather, analyze, and interpret extensive datasets from both internal and external sources to derive insights and formulate data-driven solutions across the organization.
  • Oversee the creation of sophisticated statistical models throughout all phases of model development and implementation, including ongoing monitoring and refinement of models for credit risk, marketing, and operations.
  • Communicate modeling and data analysis findings to management and other stakeholders.
  • Enhance and maintain custom variables derived from third-party data sources.
  • Continuously investigate new third-party datasets for potential use in model development to enhance model performance.
  • Maintain a high level of proficiency in current and emerging statistical methodologies and advocate for modeling innovation.

Required Qualifications:
  • M.S. degree or higher in Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline.
  • Extensive experience in developing predictive models (including linear and logistic regression, decision trees, random forests, and gradient boosting) using R, Python, or SAS.
  • Familiarity with various reject inference techniques.
  • 5-10 years of statistical modeling experience within the financial services sector.
  • Proven experience in building custom variables utilizing tradeline-level data from credit bureau reports.
  • Demonstrated ability to aggregate, extract, validate, and analyze large datasets through complex SQL queries.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, including advanced formulas and data tables.
  • Highly motivated to manage multiple projects simultaneously and a collaborative team player with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to convey complex modeling results to a non-technical audience.
