Job Title:
Statistical Assistant

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytically driven Statistical Assistant to join our Enterprise Data Governance team within the Research & Innovation Division. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving the transformation of data, business processes, and practices within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Compile and compute data according to statistical formulas for use in data analysis and/or statistical studies.
2. Perform actuarial computations and compile charts and graphs for use by actuaries.
3. Prepare business analytics and assist in preparing data governance metrics and reporting.
4. Conduct research and analysis of data at the organization, including definitions, usage, system flows, and identifying key challenges and opportunities.
5. Assist in the preparation of reports as needed.
6. Assist with the administration of governance forums as needed.
7. Develop documentation, including reference guides, how-to documents, summaries, reports, and meeting minutes.

Requirements:
1. Bachelor's Degree in one of the following fields: accounting, actuarial sciences, auditing, banking, business, business administration, business and technology, commerce, computer science, cyber security, econometrics, economics, finance, financial administration, information systems, information systems engineering, information technology, internal controls, data management, data science, computational sciences, statistics, market analysis, mathematics, public administration, public policy, risk management, taxation, or technology.
2. Four (4) or more years of financial services experience in one or more of the following areas: data analysis, data governance or data management, business analytics, data visualization, statistical or economic analysis, data and/or information security, data quality, metrics and reporting, internal controls and process re-engineering, financial risk management, auditing.

1. Strong analytical and statistical skills.
2. Experience in compiling and computing data for statistical studies.
3. Proficiency in business analytics and data governance metrics.
4. Excellent research and data analysis capabilities.
5. Ability to prepare comprehensive reports and documentation.
6. Effective communication and collaboration skills.
7. Familiarity with data governance principles and practices.
8. Proficiency in data visualization tools and techniques.
9. Knowledge of financial services industry standards and regulations.
