Occupational Therapist Role Summary: Our hospital setting near Austin, Texas, seeks an experienced Occupational Therapist to contribute to our multidisciplinary team. Key Responsibilities include:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to develop personalized treatment plans, enhancing daily living and work skills for patients.
  • Implement therapeutic interventions, closely monitoring patient progress and making adjustments as needed.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other therapists to optimize patient care and ensure a cohesive treatment plan.
  • Provide education to patients and families on treatment plans and adaptive techniques, empowering them to take an active role in their recovery.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient evaluations, treatment plans, and progress, adhering to healthcare standards.
  • Stay current with evidence-based practices in occupational therapy, continuously updating skills and knowledge to provide the highest level of care.
  • Participate in patient discharge planning and follow-up care, ensuring a smooth transition to post-acute settings.


Requirements:

  • Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Texas.
  • Certification in CPR and BLS.
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Experience in a hospital or rehabilitation setting, with a strong understanding of occupational therapy principles and practices.
