Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Clinical Student Intern to join our team at Stanford Sierra Youth & Families. As a Clinical Student Intern, you will have the opportunity to work with at-risk children, youth, and families, providing comprehensive mental health services and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strength-based, culturally competent, and effective mental health services to eligible clients, including psychotherapeutic interventions and case management.
  • Assess, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans, ensuring the best possible outcomes for clients.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including Child Family Teams, to ensure comprehensive support and services for clients.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and provide crisis intervention services as needed.
  • Document all services provided, including assessment, plan development, individual therapy, group sessions, and collateral support.
  • Work collaboratively with internal programs and departments to ensure seamless service delivery and support.
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in a Master's level degree program in Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Clinical Counseling.
  • Experience working with at-risk children, youth, and families, preferably in a mental health setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to collaboration and teamwork.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records and other software applications used in the field.
