  • Compensation: $21.50/hour
  • Mileage Reimbursement (Mileage begins when you leave your home; vehicle must comply with PFG standards)

Position Purpose: The Merchandiser is tasked with pricing and organizing customer stores. This role reports directly to the Merchandising Manager overseeing the designated service area. A Merchandiser may hold a permanent position or serve as a temporary Sales Trainee as part of their ongoing training program.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Merchandiser, you will travel to customer locations using your personal vehicle to meet with clients, arrange merchandise in display areas according to established plan-o-grams, and ensure that every square foot of the store is optimally set. You will need to identify critical needs and promptly inform management of any issues. Additionally, you will evaluate customer sales and pinpoint items that are underperforming or discontinued, making suggestions for replacement products that could enhance sales and profitability for the customer.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Visiting assigned stores as scheduled each day.
  • Delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Executing merchandising, stocking, pricing, shelf facing, stock rotation, and product cleaning at customer locations.
  • Arranging store shelves or display areas as per each store's requirements.
  • Monitoring potential account issues at the store level and reporting to Sales and/or Sales Manager as necessary.
  • Ensuring safe store aisles.
  • Maintaining assigned equipment.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.
  • Reporting hours to the division using provided time sheets.
  • Carrying out other related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to cover the required territory for this position.
  • Experience interpreting planograms.
  • Reliable vehicle with current auto insurance.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for the past three years.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and detail-oriented.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service abilities.
  • Physical capability to lift products weighing between 5-25 lbs frequently throughout the day, with the potential to lift cases or totes weighing up to 70 lbs.
