We are seeking an experienced and energetic After School Program Leader to join our team at Commonpoint Queens. This is a dynamic and challenging role that requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for working with children.

Job Summary

The After School Program Leader will be responsible for leading a group of children with developmental disabilities in a fun and engaging after school program. The successful candidate will have experience in recreation activities, supervising children, and be able to conduct organized games, teach and supervise staff and participants.

Main Responsibilities
  • Supervise and lead a group of children with developmental disabilities in a safe and enjoyable manner.
  • Develop and implement daily programs that cater to the needs and interests of the children.
  • Work closely with staff to ensure a smooth and efficient program.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, behavior, and progress.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with children with developmental disabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and move around a fast-paced environment.
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is between $18-$19 per hour, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
