We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Department Head to join our team at Surety Title Company, LLC. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our department and ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management: Provide guidance and direction to department staff, ensuring that they have the necessary resources and support to perform their duties to the highest standard.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure that all departmental activities are conducted in accordance with Surety Title Company, LLC policies and procedures, as well as relevant laws and regulations.
- Performance Management: Develop and implement performance management processes to ensure that department staff are meeting their performance goals and objectives.
- Recruitment and Onboarding: Recruit and onboard new staff members, ensuring that they are properly trained and equipped to perform their duties.
- Operational Efficiency: Identify opportunities to improve departmental processes and procedures, and implement changes to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Education and Experience: A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with a college degree preferred. A minimum of 5-7 years' experience in the title and settlement industry is required, with at least 2 years' previous supervisory experience.
- Skills and Abilities: Effective communication, presentation, and organization skills are essential. Knowledge of commercial real estate practices, settlement, and title and escrow curative procedures is also required.
The physical demands of this role include regular sitting, with occasional standing, walking, and use of hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
