Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse - Addiction Recovery

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at AMS Healthcare Staffing. As a Licensed Practical Nurse - Addiction Recovery, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to individuals struggling with addiction.

Job Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse - Addiction Recovery will work closely with our team to provide comprehensive care to patients with addiction-related issues. This includes assessing patient needs, developing individualized care plans, and implementing evidence-based treatment strategies.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and performing routine medical procedures.
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans to address addiction-related issues.
  • Implement evidence-based treatment strategies, including counseling, education, and support groups.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate records.
Requirements:
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
  • Up to eighteen months of education or training beyond the high school level in nursing or a related field of study.
  • Experience working with patients with addiction-related issues, preferably in a psychiatric or addiction treatment setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of substance use disorder behaviors and treatment protocols.
  • Understanding and utilization of 12-step recovery in MAT.
  • Knowledge of signs/symptoms of psychoactive substance toxicity, intoxication, and withdrawal symptoms.
