About the Role:

The Peninsula Jewish Community Center is seeking a skilled Facilities Worker to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of our facilities, as well as performing minor maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the cleanliness and curb appeal of our interior and exterior spaces, including trash and recycling management, sweeping, vacuuming, and pressure washing.
  • Perform minor maintenance tasks, such as replacing light bulbs, painting, and repairing doors and furniture.
  • Set up and break down for classes, programs, and events, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for our members and guests.
  • Restock kitchen and break room supplies, and maintain inventory levels.
  • Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, and work collaboratively with the team to achieve our goals.
Requirements:
  • Associates degree or equivalent, with a focus on facilities management or a related field.
  • Minimum of one year of related experience, with a strong understanding of facilities maintenance and operations.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, including safety regulations and maintenance manuals.
  • Knowledge of hand and power tools, and ability to use them safely and effectively.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups and individuals.
