Job Summary

Adecco is currently recruiting for a Shipping Clerk in the Kansas City, MO area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Shipping and Receiving Operations: Manage and execute shipping and receiving operations efficiently.
  • Inventory Management: Utilize Oracle ERP system to manage and track inventory levels, shipments, and returns.
  • Shipping Documentation: Prepare and process shipping documents, including packing lists, shipping labels, and bills of lading.
  • Logistics Coordination: Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure accurate and timely shipment of products.
  • Data Entry and Record Keeping: Perform data entry tasks and maintain accurate records of shipping activities.
  • Dispute Resolution: Resolve any discrepancies or issues related to shipments, including damages or shortages.
  • Compliance and Regulations: Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations regarding shipping and receiving.
Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar role, with a focus on using Oracle ERP systems.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Oracle ERP software and other relevant shipping and inventory management systems.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of shipping and receiving procedures and best practices.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Attention to Detail: Attention to detail and accuracy in processing shipping documents and data entry.
  • Communication: Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with team members and other departments.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift and move heavy packages and operate shipping equipment as needed.
