We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Water/Wastewater Operations Technician to join our team at US Water Services Corporation. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start their career in water treatment operations.
About the JobThe successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the daily operations and maintenance of drinking water and wastewater treatment facilities. This includes performing routine tests, monitoring equipment, and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in operating and maintaining water and wastewater treatment facilities under the guidance of certified operators.
- Perform routine tests on water and wastewater samples to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Monitor and record operating conditions, observations, and data in shift logs.
- Identify and report any malfunctions or variances to supervisors or certified operators.
- Maintain equipment and perform routine preventative maintenance tasks as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Must be enrolled in or have completed an IDNR-recognized water treatment plant operations course.
- Ability to obtain Grade II Water Treatment Plant Operator License within 12 months of hire date.
