Position Overview: Lead Anesthesia Technician

Role Summary:
The Lead Anesthesia Technician is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily functions of anesthesia support services. This includes managing technical staff, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and maintaining optimal inventory levels for anesthesia supplies. The role also involves direct participation in anesthesia procedures, ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained and ready for use.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and mentor anesthesia support personnel, providing training and guidance.
- Develop and implement operational procedures to enhance service delivery.
- Monitor budgetary allocations and manage supply inventories effectively.
- Ensure adherence to safety and regulatory standards within the department.
- Participate in the maintenance and stocking of anesthesia equipment and workspaces.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in anesthesia technology.
- Certification from the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians (ASATT).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
