Job Overview

Memorial Hermann Health System is seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team on a per diem basis. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals who value flexibility and want to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating and rehabilitating patients with communication and swallowing disorders, providing comprehensive care that meets the unique needs of each individual. As a key member of our therapy team, you will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients with communication and swallowing disorders to develop personalized treatment plans
  • Provide speech and language therapy services, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and achieve optimal outcomes
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, incorporating evidence-based practices and techniques
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure informed decision-making and coordination of care
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university
  • Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and licensure in Texas
  • 1+ year of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist, preferably in an acute care setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations
  • Strong clinical knowledge and expertise in speech-language pathology, with a commitment to staying current with best practices
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. Our benefits package includes health insurance, dental coverage, vision plan, 403(b) retirement plan, employee assistance program, and more.
