We are currently seeking a qualified Civil Transportation Specialist to join our West Central Region team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute fundamental tasks of assignments that necessitate knowledge and application of basic engineering principles.
- Projects may encompass various elements such as roadways, roundabouts, multi-use trails, ADA-compliant pedestrian facilities, traffic signal systems, hydrology and hydraulics, retaining structures, enclosed drainage systems, and traffic barrier systems.
- Support the Project Manager and Project Engineer in the planning and design phases of projects.
- Compile engineering studies, documentation, and reports.
- Conduct engineering analyses including preliminary and final designs along with necessary calculations.
- Perform field surveys to collect essential data.
- Create drawings, layouts, and visual aids utilizing computer-aided design/drafting tools and software.
- Assess design developments for adherence to relevant codes, established engineering standards, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- 0 – 7 years of relevant experience.
- EI Certification or PE License (if eligible) required within one year of employment.
- Familiarity with Microstation and OpenRoads Designer is essential.
- Knowledge of AutoTurn and Hydraulic Analysis Software is advantageous.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
- Dependable with the ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively to meet deadlines and ensure high-quality outcomes.
