Why Choose Our Float Pool?
Working within various departments of our facility offers a unique opportunity to experience diverse clinical environments. Each day presents a chance to explore new specialty areas, enhancing your professional growth. Float RNs will be assigned to Med Surg/Tele, ICU, and/or ED to assist with patient overflow.
Compensation:
The base salary is determined by the candidate's relevant experience, with an additional float differential of $5.00 per hour and shift differentials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver and coordinate comprehensive patient care utilizing the nursing process to ensure safe and effective treatment.
- Engage in evidence-based practices and skilled communication to foster a safe patient environment and enhance patient experiences.
- Assess patient needs, develop personalized care plans, and evaluate their effectiveness, involving patients and families in the process.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate discharge planning and apply regulatory standards in practice.
- Monitor patient, team, and unit outcomes, taking initiative to address any issues that arise.
- Demonstrate strong communication, feedback, and conflict resolution skills, promoting teamwork among healthcare professionals.
- Lead care teams effectively and delegate tasks to unlicensed personnel as appropriate.
- Advocate for patient safety by identifying potential risks and implementing preventive measures.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree in Nursing
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Valid State Nursing License
- Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS
- Preferred experience in a clinical setting (1-3 years)
