Role Summary: As an Early Learning Floater Teacher at Think Together, you will be instrumental in delivering the educational framework for children participating in our Early Learning Program. Reporting directly to the Early Learning Program Manager, your responsibilities will include the design, organization, and execution of the curriculum while fostering a supportive and engaging learning atmosphere.

  • Design and implement a comprehensive educational program in alignment with approved curriculum standards and the philosophy of Think Together.
  • Provide varied learning opportunities across literacy, language, mathematics, science, social skills, and self-awareness.
  • Develop customized lesson plans that address the unique needs and interests of each child.
  • Establish and uphold behavioral expectations that encourage a positive educational environment.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress through diverse assessment methods.
  • Conduct parent meetings to discuss children’s academic achievements and classroom conduct.
  • Recognize and assist children with special needs by collaborating with appropriate agencies for assessment.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and stimulating environment that promotes holistic child development.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance educational practices and knowledge.
  • Provide mentorship and oversight to support staff and volunteers as necessary.
  • Assume additional responsibilities as needed to fulfill program requirements and compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with children and their families.
  • Competence in computer software applications including Windows, Excel, and Word.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Possession of a valid California Driver's License, access to a vehicle, and appropriate insurance.
  • Fluency in Spanish is a critical requirement.
