About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Surgical Technologist to join our team at Houston Methodist Cypress Hospital. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare the operating room, equipment, and supplies for surgical procedures.
  • Anticipate the needs of surgeons and nursing staff by passing instruments and supplies during procedures.
  • Assist with sponge, instrument, needle, and other surgical counts.
  • Role model behaviors and skills towards improving department score for patient satisfaction.
  • Participate in debriefing and quality improvement practices to ensure quality patient care.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent education.
  • Successful completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program or military training equivalency.
  • Two years of experience as a Surgical Technologist.
  • BLS - Basic Life Support (AHA) certification.
  • CSA - Certified Surgical Assistant (NCCSA) certification or equivalent.
