Job Summary:
The Systems Administrator is a critical member of the Information Management team, responsible for the day-to-day operations of site-level system resources. This technical, operations-centered role involves server management, software compliance and delivery, and group policy.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform daily monitoring of server systems, review system and application logs, and verify proper scheduling and completion of automated tasks.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot server hardware and virtual machines with associated operating systems and enterprise applications.
• Develop and maintain system configuration documentation and follow methodical change management procedures to ensure steady progress towards project completion.
• Collaborate with cross-departmental teams, including Computer Technicians, Clinical Information Systems, Information Awareness, Web Development, Networking, and Database Administration, as well as a central network authority managing multiple sites.
• Stay current with developments in new technologies and platforms and plan, implement, direct, and monitor the integration of new technologies into the server and network environments as required.
Requirements:
• Experience with Information Systems/Server/Software troubleshooting and Microsoft Windows Server platforms up to and including version 2012, 2016, and 2019.
• Knowledge of current and emerging technologies, Active Directory Administration, Group Policy Management, and Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM).
• Networking knowledge including VLANS, DNS, DHCP, and experience with ServiceNow Helpdesk ticketing system.
• Project management skills, including the ability to effectively deploy resources and balance multiple projects, and solid oral and written communication skills.
