Job Summary:

Prairie State College is seeking a dynamic and experienced Adjunct Professor to teach Biology courses in the Fall 2024 semester. The successful candidate will have a Master of Science degree in Biology or a closely related field, with a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in Biology. The ideal candidate will have experience in teaching Biology at the college level and conducting lab activities in the subject area.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach Biology courses, including BIO 111 (Cell & Molecular Biology) and BIO 221 (Human Anatomy & Physiology I)
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and assessments
  • Conduct lab activities and provide guidance to students
  • Communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and administrators
Requirements:
  • Master of Science degree in Biology or a closely related field
  • Minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in Biology
  • Experience in teaching Biology at the college level
  • Experience in conducting lab activities in Biology
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • PhD in Biology or a closely related field
  • Online teaching certification
