Role Overview

The Warehouse Operations Lead is tasked with managing and coordinating the logistics functions within the warehouse of each retail location. This role involves overseeing a team of warehouse staff, including order selectors and equipment operators, while optimizing the daily freight operations to align with customer demands and inventory management.

Key Qualifications
  • 1-3 years of relevant supervisory experience in a warehouse or distribution setting is essential.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a focus on team collaboration, delegation, and follow-through.
  • Ability to foster effective working relationships across various departments.
  • Proficient communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Basic mathematical proficiency is required.
  • Solid computer skills, particularly in Windows-based applications.
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet set deadlines.
  • Willingness to work extended hours during peak periods.
Core Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily scheduling of warehouse staff to ensure optimal coverage for product shipping and receiving.
  • Manage daily warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, maintenance, and inventory oversight.
  • Ensure compliance with Storage Buy transactions and manage receiving discrepancies.
  • Maintain warehouse equipment through preventive maintenance and necessary repairs, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
  • Implement and uphold safety protocols to create a secure and clean working environment, adhering to OSHA regulations.
  • Train all team members on standard operating procedures and ensure compliance.
  • Administer the disciplinary process, fostering a positive work atmosphere within the warehouse.
  • Address employee inquiries and resolve operational issues as they arise.
  • Collaborate with other departments to enhance warehouse efficiency.
  • Prepare necessary reports for management review.
  • Ensure timely processing of paperwork related to receiving and inventory control.
  • Address any discrepancies in shipping documentation and invoices.
  • Oversee the Storage Buy Audit process.
  • Ensure proper staging of products for inventory counts and inspections.
  • Manage product storage to maximize space utilization and adhere to safety standards.
  • Supervise inventory rotation within the warehouse.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Work Environment
  • This position operates within a warehouse setting, often involving exposure to moving vehicles and moderate to high noise levels.
Physical Requirements

Physical demands include the ability to exert up to 30 pounds of force frequently and lift, carry, push, or pull objects as necessary. The role requires frequent standing, walking, reaching, climbing, and other physical activities.

Store Operational Hours

Monday - Friday: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Saturday: 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Sunday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
