Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, direct, and evaluate patient care to ensure optimal outcomes
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes or concerns to physicians
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families on health-related topics
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety
Requirements
  • Current RN licensure in the State of Texas
  • Associate Degree, Baccalaureate Degree, or Diploma from a School of Nursing or University
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (required for FED RNs)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (required for FED RNs)
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (required for FED RNs)
  • Tracheostomy Care and Airway Management (TCAR) certification (required for FED RNs)
  • Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification (required for FED RNs)
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a Medical-Surgical Unit
  • Experience with electronic medical records and other healthcare software
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
