Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented New Grad Field Engineer I to join our team at HNTB. As a Field Engineer I, you will be responsible for providing engineering inspection and documentation of construction work performed by contractors, ensuring compliance with plans, specifications, and contract provisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with construction field work tasks and activities to ensure conformance to plans, specifications, and other contract documents.
  • Coordinate and schedule quality controls inspections.
  • Observe on-site material testing and coordinate testing and monitoring services.
  • Perform mathematical calculations for material quantity payments.
  • Review contractor's daily construction reports for accuracy, thoroughness, and consistency.
  • Consult with Resident Engineer on work progress and construction problems.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
  • Experience with digital construction management software such as Constructware, Asite, or similar.
