Job Overview

Insight Global is seeking a skilled Field Service Maintenance Technician to join their team onsite in Chattanooga, TN, with up to 50% travel requirements. This role involves traveling to customer sites to commission new equipment, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems, and conduct preventative maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Commissioning new equipment and ensuring it is functioning properly
  • Troubleshooting mechanical and electrical problems to identify root causes
  • Developing repair plans and conducting preventative maintenance to minimize downtime
  • Providing training and education to internal customer service representatives on correct procedures
  • Collaborating with external customers to identify error trends and make recommendations

Requirements:

  • 1-3+ years of experience in troubleshooting mechanical or electrical systems
  • Experience commissioning equipment, preferably electrical systems and components
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering documents, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineering
  • Knowledge or experience reading schematic drawings
  • Experience within the manufacturing industry

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Valid US passport or ability to acquire one and a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
