Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Manager to join our team at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. As a Clinical Nurse Manager, you will be responsible for managing patient care delivery on up to three units, serving as a clinical resource and administrator in the absence of unit leaders or when care-related issues arise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage patient care delivery on up to three units, ensuring efficient and cost-effective daily operations.
  • Facilitate patient throughput, including admissions, discharges, and transfers.
  • Promote a culture of safety and quality by ensuring continuity and consistency in the implementation of established standards, protocols, policies, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to establish unit goals and ensure alignment with hospital strategic goals.
  • Monitor staff compliance with regulatory, hospital, and divisional requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
  • Current New York State RN license
  • 2+ years of acute care RN experience in Pediatrics or NICU
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
  • BLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association
Preferred Criteria
  • Master's Degree in related area
