Key Responsibilities
  1. Patient Care: Assist licensed healthcare professionals with routine patient care procedures, including vital sign collection, lab tests, and medication administration.
  2. Documentation: Accurately record patient information, procedures performed, and responses in the medical record, adhering to established policies and procedures.
  3. Administrative Support: Perform routine clerical functions, such as data entry, and maintain accurate records.
  4. Communication: Provide clear and concise information to patients, families, and healthcare team members, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  5. Quality Improvement: Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care and satisfaction.
Requirements
  1. Education: Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program with a current MA certificate.
  2. Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a pediatric setting, with a strong understanding of pediatric care principles and practices.
  3. Certifications: Current CPR certification and verification of appropriate hours in approved Medical Assistant course to perform venipuncture.
