Job Summary

College of the Canyons is seeking qualified adjunct faculty members to join our Electronic Systems department. As an adjunct instructor, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational experience of our students and contributing to the success of our institution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach Electronic Systems courses at the Valencia or Canyon Country campus, or other college teaching locations
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse student needs and backgrounds
  • Assess student learning and provide constructive feedback to promote academic growth
  • Participate in departmental and institutional committees to contribute to curriculum development and program improvement
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with industry trends and best practices
Requirements
  • Possession of an unexpired California Community College Instructor Credential in Electronic Systems
  • OR - Any bachelor's degree and two (2) years of full-time equivalent professional experience directly related to the faculty member's teaching assignment or the equivalent
  • OR - Any associate degree and six (6) years of professional experience directly related to the faculty member's teaching assignment or the equivalent
Working Conditions

Adjunct faculty positions are part-time and may include Monday through Friday (day and evening), as well as Saturday classes. The salary rate for adjunct faculty is $88.30 per hour.
