Certified Medication Aide

At Nexion Health, we're committed to delivering exceptional care and services to our residents. As a Certified Medication Aide (CMA), you'll play a vital role in ensuring the well-being of our patients.

We offer a competitive salary package, with an estimated starting rate of $16.00-$17.00 per hour based on experience, plus shift differential. With up to 10 years of experience, you can earn up to an additional $0.75 per hour per level, with potential for a further increase of up to $1.50 per hour.

The CMA is responsible for administering oral and topical medications to residents as ordered by a physician, under the supervision of a licensed nurse. This involves performing tasks in accordance with state and federal rules and regulations, as well as facility policies.

• State certification as a nursing assistant is required
• State-approved medication administration certification
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Complete familiarity with duties of a certified nursing assistant
• Highly developed observation skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a team environment, and possess a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care.

Job Responsibilities:

• Answering call lights promptly to determine resident needs
• Providing support to assist residents with activities of daily living
• Taking/recording vital signs as directed by medical or nursing staff
• Making routine rounds on assigned residents
• Promptly communicating any significant changes in behavior or condition to supervisor
