Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Advocate Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for operating x-ray equipment to produce high-quality radiographs of patients. Your expertise will ensure that our patients receive accurate and timely diagnoses, enabling our medical team to provide the best possible care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate x-ray equipment to produce radiographs of designated body parts as ordered by physicians
  • Perform diagnostic procedures, adhering to proper technical parameters to produce quality studies
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort during exams, utilizing proper infection prevention and sterile techniques
  • Review radiographs to ensure optimum quality and report any environmental or equipment issues to relevant personnel
  • Perform computer functions for RIS/HIS systems and label radiographs according to departmental standards
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
  • IEMA Accreditation in Radiologic Technology
  • ARRT (RT) Certification or Certificate Eligible (new graduates must obtain ARRT within 1 year of hire)
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to work weekends and holidays, rotating shifts, and take call. You may be exposed to radiation during procedures and may be required to lift and move patients. It is essential to maintain current CPR certification and adhere to department standards of radiographic quality.
