Weichert Co. of Maryland Inc. is seeking a highly qualified Real Estate Instructor to join our team in Alexandria, VA. As a Real Estate Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering state-regulated real estate pre-licensing courses that provide the necessary education for students to prepare for the Virginia licensing exam. Your primary duties will include:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver required intellectual material for successful completion of the Washington DC pre-licensing courses.
  • Accurately complete class records to document compliance with state real estate commissions.
  • Follow lesson plans and lead classroom discussions on relevant topics, educating students on real estate principles and practices.
  • Provide information regarding licensing and answer any questions students may have.
  • Maintain a positive learning environment for participants and maintain classroom control at all times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree, VA brokers' license, and two (2) consecutive years of active real estate experience immediately before application, or
  • An active VA brokers' license and five (5) consecutive years of real estate experience immediately before application, or
  • A qualified expert in a specific real estate field who will teach only in that area of their expertise. This option requires proof of expertise, including education transcripts, professional certifications, and letters of reference.
  • In-depth knowledge of national and state-specific real estate principles and practices.
  • Knowledge necessary to operate PowerPoint presentations.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills.
  • Ability to conduct presentations.
  • Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and fractions.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Knowledge and ability to use typical office equipment (PC, calculator, fax machine, etc.).
