We are seeking a dedicated Program Aide and Van Driver to join our team at United Community & Family Services. This exciting opportunity involves providing transportation services for our adult day center clients, while also assisting with program activities and outings.

About the Role

This is a full-time position requiring 35 hours of work per week. The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating program activities that promote socialization, cognitive stimulation, and physical exercise. They will also provide van transportation for clients, ensuring their safety at all times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate program activities and outings
  • Provide van transportation and assist clients with boarding and exiting the van
  • Assist with personal care needs of clients
  • Monitor participant behavior and report changes to RN Supervisor
  • Communicate effectively with participants, families, and team members
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • A valid driver's license and eligibility for Public Service License to operate van
  • Home Health Aide or Certified Nursing Aide (HHA/CNA) certification plus up to one year experience working with elderly individuals preferred
  • First Aid and CPR certification preferred
  • Demonstrated patience, empathy, and compassion
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others in a team environment
