As a Surgical Scheduler, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hospital's outpatient-based services. Your responsibilities will include scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and providing exceptional customer service to patients and clinical staff.

We're looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills. If you're passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and have a strong background in medical scheduling, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Schedule appointments for hospital outpatient-based services
• Manage patient flow and ensure efficient use of resources
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients and clinical staff
• Interface with patients and clinical staff to communicate scheduling needs and results
• Support checkout at Gastroenterology's ambulatory office
• Provide accurate and detailed information to patients regarding test results and scheduling
• Take appropriate action in responding to patient inquiries
• Answer incoming calls and direct them to the correct party
• Escalate operational, provider, or patient complaints to leadership

Requirements

• 2-3 years of experience in a medical or office setting
• Medical Assistant Certificate preferred
• Outstanding organizational skills and typing speed of 35-45 WPM
• Medical transcription required
• High School Diploma or Equivalent required
