Position Overview

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is entrusted with the responsibility of ensuring the smooth and effective daily operations of the designated healthcare facility, in partnership with the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).

The COO will oversee numerous departments and functions within the hospital, ensuring alignment with the organization's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

The COO's primary duties encompass the following:

  • Operational Excellence: The COO is accountable for the performance of all departments, developing and executing impactful strategies to meet established performance goals.
  • Patient Safety & Quality: The COO is tasked with fostering a clinical environment that prioritizes safety and efficiency, consistently delivering expected patient outcomes.
  • Accreditation Compliance: The COO ensures adherence to all relevant standards set by accrediting and regulatory bodies, maintaining readiness for any assessments.
  • Employee Engagement: The COO is responsible for enhancing the engagement and loyalty of staff, medical professionals, and patients.
  • Financial Stewardship: The COO develops a culture of operational efficiency that meets financial performance targets.
  • Medical Staff Relations: The COO nurtures relationships with medical staff and other healthcare providers.
