Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Process Technician to join our team at The Toro Company. As a Process Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with established internal control procedures and utilizing your knowledge of inventory management concepts to drive efficiency and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process requisitions and facilitate receiving processes to ensure accurate and timely receipt of materials.
  • Perform inspections to verify quality and quantity of received materials and record in SAP.
  • Schedule supplier pickups and deliveries, expedite parts to meet business needs, and track and resolve past due purchase orders.
  • Resolve quality deviations and work with customers to find the best overall solution.
  • Identify and communicate potential supply interruptions proactively.
  • Execute inventory management processes to achieve departmental and corporate requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to colleagues within the assigned area of the business.
  • Maintain effective communication with other departments and customers to ensure timely information sharing.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent and 0-2 years of experience in the field or a related area.
  • Prior forklift experience and/or certification preferred.
  • Able to regularly handle items weighing up to 25 pounds and occasionally handle items weighing up to 75 pounds.
  • Demonstrate appropriate reading, clerical, and basic math skills.
  • Demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills, including a professional and self-confident image.
  • Proficient in personal computer applications (Word, Excel, SAP, etc.).
  • Able to work overtime as needed.
  • Have a good work record of safety, self-motivation, judgment, and productivity.
  • Work well with others in both team settings and one-on-one.

Work Environment:

  • Manufacturing plant conditions (indoors, with variable temperature and humidity, noise, and dirt). Occasional outside work.
  • Physical hazards such as powered vehicles, bicycles, and pedestrian traffic, sharp objects, moving machinery, and material handling.
  • Working with hazardous materials, including solvents, oils, grease, and pressurized gases.
  • Dynamic work environment with constant changing workloads and priorities.
