Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Plumbing/Fire Protection Engineer II to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 4-7 years of professional engineering experience and be proficient in the use of Revit and AutoCAD MEP software.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop plans and specifications for concurrent projects
  • Research, specify, size, and select equipment
  • Obtain and document field data by conducting field visits on project sites
  • Produce site observation reports and final punch lists
  • Edit master specification sections to be project specific
  • Prepare studies, drawings, and sketches as required
  • Perform technical analyses
  • Review shop drawings and RFIs
  • Communicate with clients and contractors to resolve issues with engineering designs
  • Work with other disciplines to provide a fully coordinated design
  • Obtain knowledge of building codes and stay current with building code changes
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection or Mechanical engineering
  • 4-7 years of consulting engineering experience designing plumbing and fire protection systems
  • Highly proficient in the use of Revit and AutoCAD MEP software
  • Thorough understanding of plumbing and fire protection engineering principles
  • Thorough understanding of applicable fire protection design codes
  • Knowledge of Factory Mutual (FM) design guides
  • Ability to travel to project sites both in and out of state
