Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Cashier to join our team at Natural Grocers. As a key member of our front-end team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our cash registers, training and directing cashiers, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide World Class Customer Service and a positive customer experience as the number one priority.
  • Exemplify integrity, responsibility, and excellence and adhere to all policies.
  • Train and direct cashiers to ensure they are knowledgeable about our products and services.
  • Monitor and maintain the front-end area, including cash registers, shelves, and displays.
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures, including counting cash and balancing the register.
  • Participate in inventory management and stockroom organization.
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve store goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 1-2 years of retail experience, preferably in a grocery or food service environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system.
