Service Technician Job Description

Michelin is seeking a skilled Service Technician to join our team in Lexington, KY. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing top-notch service to our customers, ensuring their equipment is running smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and maintain material handling tires using hydraulic tire presses.
  • Dismount, mount, and service customer products as specified by customer orders.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and ensure cleanliness of all equipment, including service vehicles.
  • Report any issues with quality standards, equipment maintenance, delays, or potential hazards to the Service Manager.
  • Job requires regular bending, crouching, squatting, and reaching movements, lifting products up to 75 pounds, and standing for prolonged periods.
Requirements:
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • A valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • A commitment to personal safety and the safety of others.
  • Punctuality, effective time management skills, and a willingness to work overtime as required.
  • A strong attention to detail, initiative, critical thinking, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and follow accurate, specific, and technical instructions.
  • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds with mechanical assistance.
  • Effective communication with customers on a professional level.
  • Previous experience in an industrial environment and/or mechanical proficiency preferred but not required.
