Position Overview:
The Security Officer II is responsible for delivering security services through professional interactions with patients, staff, and visitors. This role involves responding to various situations, providing assistance during emergencies and non-emergencies, and documenting safety concerns and incidents. The officer will patrol assigned areas to ensure the safety of individuals and property.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular patrols of designated areas, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Investigate and report any suspicious activities or safety hazards to the appropriate authorities.
- Respond to emergency and non-emergency situations, using sound judgment to assess and address issues.
- Provide initial first aid as necessary, based on training and certification.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid state driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Certification in Basic Training from the International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS) or equivalent within six months of employment.
- Must meet departmental testing requirements, including mental and physical evaluations.
