About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Attorney to join our litigation team at Jobot. Responsibilities
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of legal agreements, including contracts, agreements, and other documents.
  • Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on a broad range of legal matters, including civil litigation, contract law, and business law.
  • Represent our clients in court proceedings, mediations, and negotiations, including trials, arbitrations, and settlements.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case preparation and strategy development, including researching and analyzing relevant laws, regulations, and case law.
  • Collaborate with legal team members to ensure the provision of high-quality legal services, including working with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in legislation and case law that may impact our clients, including staying current on new laws, regulations, and court decisions.
  • Manage client relationships, ensuring their legal needs are met and exceeded, including communicating with clients, responding to their inquiries, and providing regular updates on their cases.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure legal compliance across the organization, including working with HR, finance, and other departments to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as an attorney in the legal industry, with a focus on civil litigation.
  • Experience with civil litigation is required, with a preference for experience with medical malpractice.
  • Proven experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating legal agreements, including contracts, agreements, and other documents.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to analyze complex legal issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent research skills and attention to detail, with the ability to conduct thorough legal research and analysis.
  • Current license to practice law in the state of Oregon.
