Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Litigation Trial Attorney to join our team at RemoteWorker US. As a Litigation Trial Attorney, you will provide legal representation to the corporation and its insured within established corporate guidelines and the applicable code of professional responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle litigation involving the corporation and its insured within established corporate guidelines and the applicable code of professional responsibility.
  • Provide legal advice to assist the disposition of claims in a fair manner consistent with relevant statutes and within the guidelines of the company.
  • Handle files and complex issues, and communicate with the client regarding file status and progress.
  • Analyze files as litigation progresses, evaluate cases, and seek settlement.
  • Conduct discovery, motion practice, and draft all necessary pleadings, papers, and briefs to promote litigation.
  • Advocate the client position in all forums and circumstances.
  • Negotiate in the resolution of claims and other issues.
  • Stay current on state statutes and court decisions and analyze how they affect the interpretation and enforceability of policy provisions.

Requirements

  • 5-15 years of experience preparing civil pleadings, motions, and discovery, and deposing witnesses.
  • Demonstrated litigation experience.
  • Solid knowledge of rules of Professional Responsibility for the jurisdiction in which they practice.
  • Solid knowledge of tort, contract, and insurance law.
  • Admission to the Washington State Bar or eligibility for admission to the bar and obtaining admission within a year of hiring.
