We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant II to join our team at Riccobene Associates Family Dentistry. As a key member of our dental team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our practice.

Job Summary

The Dental Assistant II will assist the dentist in providing dental treatment, function as a treatment coordinator, and prepare and present treatment plans to patients. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the dentist in providing dental treatment and maintaining a clean and organized treatment area
  • Function as a treatment coordinator, preparing and presenting treatment plans to patients
  • Schedule patient appointments to accommodate potential obstacles and maintain accurate records
  • Collect and record patient health histories and maintain confidentiality
  • Assist with patient management during dental procedures and complete instrument cleaning and sterilization
  • Prepare dental materials and equipment as needed for scheduled treatments
  • Complete dental charting and maintain accurate records
  • Responsible for inventory supply and other ancillary duties
Requirements
  • Dental Assistant Essential Requirements: DAI Training or equivalent, 1-2 years of Dental Assistant experience, CDA certification, or completed radiological equivalency exam through NC State Board of Dental Examiners, or completed CODA-accredited dental assisting program
  • CPR certified, or will become CPR certified within 30 days of hire
  • Ability to professionally present clinical information regarding treatment plans and insurance information to patients
  • Knowledge of Denticon software a plus
  • Regular and timely attendance, ability to demonstrate independent thinking and exercise good judgment, ability to formulate, affect, interpret, and/or implement operating practices
  • Ability to demonstrate a teamwork approach to job responsibilities, ability to demonstrate initiative, dependability, and promptness
  • Must perform frequent repetitive work with attention to detail, must have the ability to be flexible and accept different work assignments within the practice
  • Ability to follow instructions and take responsibility for own actions, ability to exercise confidentiality with patients and patient care
  • Ability to listen attentively for clarification to ensure necessary outcomes
