About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Physician Educator to join our team as a Core Faculty Physician in Lancaster, SC. As a key member of our Internal Medicine Residency Program, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational experience of our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Split time between educational, administrative, and clinical care
  • Serve as a role model, mentor, and advisor to residents in the program
  • Participate in the selection, orientation, and evaluation of residents
  • Contribute to the development of program curriculum and evaluation tools
  • Promote internal medicine care and the residency program, practicing the full scope of ambulatory primary care medicine
  • Provide appropriate levels of resident supervision to ensure patient safety
  • Support the Program Director (PD) and Associate Program Director (APD) in the implementation of policies and procedures consistent with institutional and program requirements
  • Assist with the incorporation and application of ACGME Milestones into evaluation tools
  • Participate in program evaluation and clinical competency committees at the discretion of the PD
  • Prepare and deliver structured educational activities as requested by the APD or PD
  • Participate in resident scholarship with the goal of one scholarly project per year
  • Actively participate in faculty development initiatives

  • Demonstrated interest in the education of residents
  • Commitment to leadership in resident education and program administration
  • Compassion, professionalism, and dedication to lifelong learning
  • Board certification in Internal Medicine and licensure to practice in the state of South Carolina
