Key Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Outcomes: Develop and implement strategies to ensure quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness in cardiology services.
  • Funding Our Future: Prepare and administer budgets to ensure adequate personnel, facilities, and supplies for cardiology services.
  • Patient Satisfaction: Drive customer satisfaction strategies for cardiology services, ensuring alignment with Advocate Health's Strategic Vision.
  • Associate Satisfaction: Select, develop, motivate, and evaluate staff to ensure optimal performance and retention.
  • Growth: Build a departmental reputation and maintain cardiology services on the cutting edge of performance and quality.
  • Physician Relations: Maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Nursing, or Radiologic Technology.
  • Experience: Typically requires 5 years of experience in critical care, preferably in catherization, EP, non-invasive diagnostics, or interventional radiology, with 3-5 years of supervisory experience in managing staff and budgets.
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Communication and presentation skills, organization, planning, and delegation skills, team building skills, proven leadership skills, results-oriented with concern for appropriate process, proficiency in the operation and understanding of technical equipment, basic computer knowledge, and current license in the State of Illinois.

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification: Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist registration (RCIS) issued by the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), or Cardiac Device Specialist (CCDS) certification issued by the International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE), or Electrophysiology Specialist (CEPS) certification issued by the International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE), or Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the team member practices, and Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within 6 months unless department leader has determined it is not required.
