Responsibilities

  • Examine damaged vehicles and efficiently plan the repair process to ensure timely completion.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure seamless communication and coordination on vehicle repair status.
  • Perform high-quality repairs while maintaining on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Make informed decisions on repair versus replacement, considering factors such as safety, cost, and cycle time.
  • Remove and replace upholstery, accessories, electrical, and hydraulic window operating equipment, and trim to gain access to the vehicle and fenders.
  • Participate in regular safety meetings and adhere to all safety protocols.
  • File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces using power tools and hand tools.
  • Supervise and direct the work of apprentices as needed, providing guidance and support to ensure successful task completion.

Qualifications

  • Certification in body repair is preferred.
  • Knowledge of the vehicle repair process by manufacturer is essential.
  • ICAR welding certification is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and analyze measuring data.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to supervise repair personnel.
  • Ability to pass a thorough background check.
