Job Overview: This role is situated at an independently owned and operated franchise hotel, distinct from IHG and its affiliates. The Line Cook / Prep Cook will be an integral part of our culinary team, ensuring the preparation of high-quality dishes in a vibrant hotel environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and stock the preparation station and kitchen.
  • Prepare food items for service, including chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and making sauces.
  • Report directly to the executive chef and adhere to their instructions.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards in food preparation and storage areas.
  • Maintain cleanliness in prep areas and manage leftovers effectively.
  • Accurately stock inventory and supplies.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and high-quality food service.
  • Adhere to nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
  • Foster a positive and professional relationship with coworkers and guests.

Additional Duties:

  • Assist in cross-training and onboarding new associates.
  • Support the Executive Chef in maintaining quality standards.
  • Engage in special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Adhere to payroll policies and hotel conduct regulations.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of hotel safety and security procedures.
  • Read and comply with the associate handbook regulations.
  • Proven experience in culinary roles.
  • Strong understanding of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
  • Ability to execute tasks with accuracy and speed.
  • Familiarity with industry best practices.
  • Culinary school diploma or a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
